Hi, I’m Lauren! My husband and I are renovating our 1965 Dutch Colonial and want you to come along for the ride.  We are using antiques, vintage and eco-friendly products while also making renovations and adjustments to make our home more green.

We are normal folks living outside of Washington, DC.  I've been working in Northern Virginia as a real estate agent for 13 years and love my job.  As I staged, photographed and marketed countless properties my love of interior design grew. We dreamed & planned for this house for years and are loving every moment of making this house into our home.

More recently, my concern for the climate has made me question whether design and environmental awareness can coexist. Can I be a true environmentalist while making my home beautiful? These questions have uncovered a deeper and more profound passion for vintage, repurposing, using what we have, cooking and environmentally conscious gardening and lawn care.

I hope you can learn from my successes and my mistakes.  There are lots of both.  XO!
